"Make a Difference Day" bowl painting returns to Lewis-Clark State College's SUB Solarium from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23. The popular event supports the YWCA of Lewiston-Clarkston in assisting victims of domestic violence with meals, housing, and support services.
Students, staff, faculty, and community members are invited to meet at the SUB to paint bowls for "SOUPport Our Shelters," the YWCA’s annual fundraiser. No painting experience is needed, instruction will be available, and participants can finish in about an hour or stay and paint additional bowls. Painting supplies and bowls are provided at no cost.
The goal is to paint more than 200 bowls. Several LCSC instructors will bring their classes and the Associated Students of LCSC has committed 20 members to assist throughout the day.
It is also "Warrior Wednesday" on that day, so entertainment will be provided.
For more information call 208-792-2084.
