Frequently Asked Questions
Your student will receive notification of their admission status (i.e., accepted for regular, tentative, or provisional admission, probation, and denial) via mail as soon as we receive all admission documents from them (application, official transcripts, test scores).
Decisions on completed applications are made on a rolling basis. Normally, this process takes about one to two weeks but can take up to four weeks depending on the volume of applications that are being received at that time. If your student is accepted, please visit our I'm Already Admitted website to check out what's next.
**High school senior applicants cannot be granted full admission until completion and submission of their final official high school and college transcripts (if applicable).
All financial aid forms and applications can be accessed through the Financial Aid website. We highly recommend that your student submit a Scholarship Application. Your student will also want to submit a FAFSA (FAFSA school code: 001621), which will determine their eligibility for federal and state aid. All financial aid forms and applications must be received by our March 1st priority deadline for priority consideration.
For more information regarding the specific types of financial aid available to your student, please contact the Financial Aid office at finaid@lcsc.edu or (208) 792-2224.
Your student is not required to live on-campus, so allow them to choose what's best for them! We do recommend first-year students live on campus to be in a more involved atmosphere where they are close to many helpful resources and fun activities and events.
On-campus housing and assignments are based on the date deposits are received. Once on-campus housing is full, students can continue to apply and be placed on a wait list. Visit the Residence Life website to learn about on-campus and some off-campus options.
If you have questions about housing, please contact Residence Life at reslife@lcsc.edu or (208) 792-2053.
Students must submit all admission documents (application, test scores, and official transcripts) before the Registrar and Records Office does an official evaluation of credits.
Official transcripts must arrive in a sealed envelope or in official electronic format from the issuing institution. Photocopies of records are not official. Official transcripts must include student's full name, institution, grade points, credits, and grade point average. They must be marked official and include a key.
Please allow up to three weeks for the Registrar and Records Office to complete an official evaluation of your student's general education coursework. If your student has questions about the evaluation process, please contact the Registrar and Records Office at registrar@lcsc.edu or (208) 792-2223.
Many coaches prefer you contact them directly. It is still very important that your student is aware of information relating to admission and deadlines.
Lewis-Clark State College adheres to federal, state, and institutional policies to ensure the security and privacy of information stored in the college’s student information system. Information regarding student grades, finances and tax information will only be shared if/when a student grants proxy access.
LC State students have the ability to designate a “proxy” user who may access their information within our WarriorWeb system. A proxy user is typically a parent, spouse, guardian, etc. to whom the student grants access to view typically private information depending upon what information (grades, financial, tax) the student wishes to share.
If your student needs assistance designating a proxy, this additional information maybe helpful.
A payment plan may be available to students who do not have a delinquent account with the college and have not defaulted on any previous financial obligations incurred at the college.
Students who are allowed to defer payment of fees will be required to sign a formal promissory note and will be assessed a $25 administrative service charge.
A down payment of 50% of total fees, plus the service charge, is required at the time the contract is signed. The balance is split in half, with a payment due in 30 days and the remaining half due the following 30 days.
Please feel free to contact Student Accounts for more details regarding the payment plan at (208) 792-2790 or studentaccounts@lcsc.edu.
